Who we are
Managend is a workforce management platform developed and operated as an independent software product. Our platform allows businesses to manage employees, shifts, attendance, timesheets and workplace locations.

What data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide our services. This includes:
Account and profile data
- — Full name and email address
- — Job role and employment details
- — Company name and organization information
- — Account credentials (passwords are stored encrypted)
Operational data
- — Shift schedules and assignments
- — Clock-in and clock-out timestamps
- — Timesheet entries and worked hours
- — Attendance records and absence logs
Location data
- — GPS coordinates at the moment of clock-in and clock-out
- — Location is used solely to validate workplace presence
- — We do not track continuous or background location
- — Location data is never sold or shared with third parties
Technical data
- — Device type and operating system
- — App version and session logs
- — IP address for security purposes

Why we collect this data
We use your data exclusively to:
- — Provide and operate the Managend platform
- — Enable shift scheduling and attendance management
- — Validate clock-in location against registered workplaces
- — Generate timesheets and operational reports
- — Send service notifications and account communications
- — Maintain platform security and prevent fraud
- — Comply with legal obligations under applicable law
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

Location data — special notice
How location works in Managend
The Managend mobile app requests access to your device location only when you clock in or clock out. We capture a single GPS coordinate at that moment to verify your presence at a registered workplace. We do not track your location continuously, in the background, or outside of clock-in/out actions. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings, though this may limit attendance functionality.

Where your data is stored
All Managend data is stored on servers located within the European Union and United States, specifically:
- — Render — application servers and API infrastructure
- — Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting
Both providers comply with GDPR and maintain appropriate security certifications. Data transfers between services are encrypted using industry-standard TLS encryption.

Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services:
- — Account data — retained while your account remains active
- — Timesheet and attendance records — retained for 5 years for payroll compliance purposes
- — Location data from clock-ins — retained for 12 months
- — Audit logs — retained for 24 months
Upon account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- — Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- — Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- — Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- — Right to restriction — limit how we process your data
- — Right to portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- — Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests

Children's privacy
Managend is a professional workforce management tool intended for use by adults in a business context. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Managend:
- — Stripe— payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data
- — Render — infrastructure and hosting
- — Neon — database hosting
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed and salted password storage, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is completely immune to security risks.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users via email or an in-app notification. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of Managend after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
